Ian is a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, who has spent 40 years consulting and operating, and dealing with complex eye problems. He is a well-regarded general Ophthalmologist, and was also formerly a visiting Specialist to Western suburbs and Lewisham hospitals.

He graduated from the University of Sydney, and did his post graduate Ophthalmology specialist training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He is one of the founders of Burwood Eye Clinic with his brother Fred.

Ian has developed an interest in medico-legal aspects of Ophthalmology, and previously served as an advisor to Avant. He is also on the council of the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW.
