Ian is a well-regarded Comprehensive Ophthalmologist, and was also formerly a visiting Specialist to Western suburbs and Lewisham hospitals.

He graduated from the University of Sydney, and underwent post graduate Ophthalmology specialist training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He was one of the founders of Burwood Eye Clinic, along with his older brother Fred, and has been looking after patients here for over 40 years.

Ian has then pursued training in medico-legal aspects of Ophthalmology, which is now the primary focus of his practice.
He previously served as an advisor to Avant, and is also on the council of the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW.
